About Us

At Culverdene Nursery, we take pride in offering a home from home experience that focuses on the holistic development of each and every child. Culverdene Nursery is a private day nursery which was established in 1992 in a spacious Victorian house in Newcastle upon Tyne.  Our passionate team of educators create a supportive and enriching atmosphere where children can freely explore, discover, and develop essential skills for a successful future.

At Culverdene Nursery we take into consideration the knowledge of many childcare theorists and use their findings to support our practice. We have also implemented a nursery based curriculum that supports our planning so that we can enhance experiences to support each child's development to the fullest. We are however aware that children do not all develop at the same rate and may require some additional support, we have a dedicated SENCO ready to support if required.
